We are traveling, hosting Christmas, celebrating our first wedding anniversary and looking for a new home, so we thought it was probably wise to keep Christmas simple. Grooming Essentials Make Great Stocking Stuffers for Adults
I have a confession to make… I occasionally use tweezers as part of my grooming routine. If we are honest, most of us have to use these babies on and off. That’s why stainless steel tweezers make stocking suffers for both men and women. I’m giving them to everyone on my stocking list. And speaking of errant hairs, most guys I know, and some gals too, might like battery-powered trimmers in their stockings. They are an easy-to-use grooming tool that goes anywhere because they don’t need a cord. For hair on the head, a good, de-tangling hairbrush makes a great stocking stuffer. And for your curly-haired recipients, try a wide-tooth comb.
Give Them The Spa Treatment
My daughter Charlotte and I love face masks. We have often spent an evening watching movies, drinking wine and, you guessed it, giving ourselves the spa treatment with face masks. I found this 12 pack of assorted face masks on Amazon. I’m planning to spread them among the ladies on my list, Charlotte included (just don’t tell her I told you, LOL).
Another bit of luxury that makes a great stocking stuffer is a shower steamer. Pop these on the floor of your tub or shower and the steam and water activate their properties. I love the menthol eucalyptus ones when I’m feeling a bit under-the-weather and the ones with grapefruit for refreshing energy. These steamers come 6 to a box, but are individually wrapped, so you can break them up among the stockings and the receivers, if you like. A wonderful bonus is that this stuffer is a great gift for both men and women.
And let’s not forget the lips! Everybody’s got a pair. And in the height of winter your friends and family will especially appreciate Burt’s Bee’s Lip Balm. As with the other suggestions in this section, break up the multi-packaged item, or give them all to one person, for extra-kissability.
Socks, Socks and More Socks
My son, Joe, says that if he were to strike it rich, he’d wear a new pair of socks every day. Then he’d launder them and donate them to charity. I happen to think this is hysterical. But I also know it illustrates that people, especially Joe, like getting new socks. A Christmas stocking is a great way to gift these everyday items in a fun and special way. Try fun socks for guys, like cheeseburger and pizza socks or some ocean-themed ones. And for the ladies on your list, there are cozy slipper socks for lounging around on the couch after work and trouser socks for wearing to the office.
