I inherited some wonderful vintage pins from my Gram. Most of them sit in the drawer and never see the light of day. Maybe you have some in your jewelry box too? Lately, however, I’ve seen a lot of images come through my feed on how to wear these beauties. So I’ve pulled them together here to give you some ideas on how to wear your vintage pins. This Fall, I’ll be sporting a bunch of these ideas and I sure hope you will too.

The Cluster
A cluster of pins on a collar, lapel or jacket front looks fantastic. Be as creative as you like with the pin cluster. Group them in a theme, a color or just ones you like. There are no rules except maybe to keep the scale similiar.
Some Additional Cluster Ideas From Pinterest

Insider Tip: When trying to create a cluster but cooming up short on smaller vintage pins, consider adding some earrings, singularly or in pairs. Have fun with it, whatever you do.

The Back of The Blouse is a Great Way To Wear Vintage Pins
I have an adorable pink and white blouse that I bought on clearance. I have hung onto to this baby, unworn for the last two years. The reason is that this blouse is just too big for me. In fact, I swim in it. Then I saw this cute idea and boom! That blouse is getting it’s debut, and so is one of my Gram’s pretty pins. A win-win.

The Hat
I have one big mellon of a head. In fact, most hats don’t even fit me. Wish I could say it was the size of my brain. LOL. My girls, on the other hand, with their gorgeous long locks, look great in hats, so this one’s for them. And it’s for all you other lucky folks out there who enjoy a sharp looking chapeau. A vintage pin really elevates the look of a knit hat and can even dress up a straw one. Try it out.

The Sleeve of a Blouse is a Great Place For a Vintage Pin
I’ll admit, I never would have thought of this one. But doesn’t it look great? Plus, this idea has the added benefit of keeping the rolled up sleeve rolled up. I guess you could do two, but I think the idea of the one off is best.

The Pull-Down Turtleneck
If you ever feel suffocated by a turtleneck sweater, this one’s got your name on it. It gives a stylish look and a little relief to the wearer. Another fashion win-win.

The Unexpected Can Sometimes Be The Most Fun
Those of you who read me a lot know I love whimsy when it comes to decorating your home (see my blog: How To Add Whimsy to Your Home). So why not apply the same rules when it comes to fashion? I found these creative ideas on Pinterest, but I’m sure you can come up with even more. Send me your pics when you do, please?
