Always Thrift These Items

Gas prices are nuts in my area! And it’s kind of an essential if you wok or want to go anywhere. It’s frustrating the heck out of me. So I’m up for saving money in other ways, and wherever possible. Maybe this is your mindset too? One way to save money is with this list of items you should always thrift and never buy retail. It won’t save you enough to score that new car, but it will surely help when you go to put gas in it.

Kitchen Items You Should Always Thrift

If you need any of the following kitchen items, empty your Amazon cart of them right now and head over to your local thrift or consignment shop. Places like Consignments Ltd. always have these items:

  • Spring Form Pans
  • Pie Plates
  • Casserole Dishes (even ones with lids)
  • Salt and Pepper Shakers
  • Coffee Mugs (sets and singles)
  • Travel Mugs
  • Flatware
  • Kitchen Gadgets (corkscrews, can openers, spatulas, nut and lobster crackers, etc.)
  • Tea Pots
  • Wine and Cocktail Glasses

Bargain Linen Items Are Always Available

As with the kitchen items above, these linen items you should always thrift, or at least check thrift and consignment first, because they are almost always available. On top of that fact, they are way more reasonable at these shops than at regular retail stores. Check linen sections for:

  • Cloth Napkins
  • Place Mats
  • Pillow Forms and Pillows
  • Throw Rugs
  • Table Runners
  • Fabric Throws

Decor Items You Should Always Thrift

One of the best parts of thrift and consignment shopping is finding that unique decor item that none of your friends have. They are so jelly. But never forget your basics when it comes to these shops, because they are always there, waiting for you to scoop them. Thrift:

  • Baskets
  • Tabletop Frames
  • Trash Cans
  • Vases
  • Wall Clocks
  • Candles
  • Planters and Cache Pots

Don’t Forget Holiday Items

And , of course, there are the holidays, all of them. Thrift and consignment shops are loaded with:

  • Hearts Galore For Valentine’s Day
  • Plastic Easter Eggs and Easter Grass
  • Halloween Costumes
  • Faux Pumpkins and Gourds
  • Christmas Tree Stands
  • Christmas Ornaments

So save your money to spend at the pump and head on over to your local thrift or consignment shop for all these basics. You’ll be glad you did.
