I am 62 years old. I own a home consignment store. By now you’d think I’d seen everything there is to see in new gadgets for the home. I own about half of them, for Pete’s sake. But every once in awhile a new gadget comes along online or comes into the store and I have to try it. So here are three cool new gadgets on Amazon that have arrived on my doorsteps in recent months. The other day, this vegetable chopper thing came into the store. I’d not seen one quite like it. It’s not a mandolin and not a rotating food chopper. It’s a chopper with multiple blades that chops all kinds of items into an included box. We could barely get a tag on it before it flew out the door. That’s when Holly explained to me it was because the chopped sandwich and the chopped salad are all the rage right now. So, of course, what did I do? I went on Amazon and got one of these vegetable choppers for myself. This chopper made easy work of the choppping. And Voila! Yummy sandwich (Viral Chopped Italian Sandwich) and yummy salad (LaScala Chopped Salad). Two super easy weeknight dinners added to the list. Yeah!
Shoe Stackers Are One of The Cool New Gadget on Amazon
It is absolutely no secret to anyone who knows me that I have a thing for shoes. Purses too, but that’s the subject for another blog. But shoes , when you love them like I do, can take up loads of space in your closet. That’s why I like this new gadget on Amazon called a shoe stacker. These shoe stackers let you store 50% more shoes in the same exact space. OMG! Like I need an excuse to buy more shoes, but here it is. These shoe stackers are also adjustable, so they work for both flats and high heels. They come 20 to a pack, but I’m going to need more than one pack. LOL
No-Drill Under Cabinet Paper Towel Holder is Worth Checking Out Too
Bruce and I had a standing paper towel dispenser in the old house. All the water and cleaning products we used on the countertops did a number on it, so we fired it rather than move it with us. But paper towels are still fairly essential to everyday cooking. We had a roll just sitting on the counter for the first several weeks and then I saw this no-drill paper towel holder reviewed online. And boom! I was in. This no-drill model fits right under your countertop and is secured with strong, two-sided adhesive tape. You can have your paper towels at the ready and yet out of the way at the same time. It comes in a variety of finishes. We chose the black to coordinate with the knobs on our cupboards.
