Having My Own Favorites List Isn’t Going To Magically Turning Me Into a Philanthropist Billionaire… But A Girl Can Dream…

OK, So Oprah and Ellen have some pretty amazing, quirky and sometimes pretty expensive items on their Favorites Lists. But, man, their favorites lists are chock-full of wonderful! And if you doubt me, just take a peak at Ellen’s Fave’s List and Ophra’s Fave’s List . And heaven help me, when they are giving theses favorites away to their followers for FREE, who wouldn’t want to be on that gravy train? But, I am neither of these amazing, talented and successful women… but I figure… what the heck… why not share my favorites too? So here they are… my picks for some fun (and useful) items to add life to your life this summer…

First Up Is My Favorite Bit Of Whimsy… The Lady Head Planter:

Lady head vases were a BIG thing in the 1940s and 50’s – and they are still VERY collectible today. The lady head, or sometimes gnome head, planter are relatively new to the game. The one shown here, on my own kitchen window sill, was a gift from my lovely friend, Carol, and I have to say, I just adore it. It adds a sense of whimsy to my home, and succulents turn it into a wild-eyed Medusa. There are so many you can choose from including these Lady Head Planters. My best friend, Mary, loves the beach, except for that sand thing! Mary has probably been waiting for this next one for her whole life – I know that I have! OK, so I have to admit… I am a large woman… 5’9″ and 150 pounds. (OK, I just put that out there for the world – man, 57 is liberating)… but one thing that is small on me is my ears!
