Summer is coming! Well, maybe. As I write this in the week after Memorial Day it’s a whopping 58 degrees here in Southern Rhode Island. So, brrrr. But I don’t doubt that it is coming and with it will come all those barbeques and cocktail parties and picnics. You may not know this but thrift and consignment shops are great places to get ready for all the revelry. So if you’re summer involves even a little entertaining, get yourself to a thrift or consignment store, pronto!

Decor For Summer Entertaining From Thrift and Consignment
Who doesn’t like a little red, white and blue on the 4th of July? And if you’re planning a get-together for the 4th, consider consignment and thrift stores for your decor. You can often find flags (both new and used), patriotic candleholders for your table or your citronella, buntings, dishes and so much more. And these items, because they are most-often being recycled will be for sale at a fraction of the price of regular retail shops. Consignment and thrift stores are also a great place to look for coastal decor items, like star fish bowls and shell-shaped platters that you can use all summer long for entertaining. Nothing says summer like sea-themed items.
